Pharmacokinetics
Cats:

Dogs:
The pharmacokinetics of robenacoxib injection does not differ between male and female dogs, and is linear over the range of 0.25-4 mg/kg in dogs.
Onsior Injection Key Pharmacokinetic Properties:
Linear Kinetics: Predictable dose-response relationship
Gender Independence: No difference between male and female animals
Multiple Routes: Can be administered IV, SC, or orally
Rapid Action: Quick onset of anti-inflammatory effects
Clinical Efficacy
Pain Management Studies:
Robenacoxib, administered at a target dose of 2 mg/kg prior to surgery and once daily for two postoperative days, produced better analgesia than a placebo: analgesia was measured in terms of the need for rescue analgesia after surgery.
Safety Profile:
No significant changes in the mean values for hematology were observed during clinical studies, indicating good safety tolerance.
It is concluded that alternating regimens of robenacoxib tablets and injection (Onsior™) were well tolerated in healthy young dogs when administered once a day.
